Korea's Lords

This morning I had a dream. I dreamt that there was a stone inside my intestine. I sought no spiritual meaning. When I was reading through the prophetic book of Daniel in the Bible, I came across a passage that spoke about Jesus as the rock who will smash both the weak and strong governments in the end times. The rock reminded me of my dream, and the message to me personally was to remember that Jesus is inside of me.    

Many religions see the belly as the seat of the spirit, also emphasized in John 7 when talking of the living waters. When I read that this morning, plus Daniel, I was astounded, and I was spiritually refreshed, and I thanked God for this personal message.

Perhaps subconsciously I have been looking for a sign that I have been called by God to go to Korea. I have been asking myself if God is in it. And as I typed 'Korea' in predictive text, low and behold, it spelt LORDS. Plural of Lord. And I thought about the irony of that - Korea's religions are Buddhist, Protestant and Roman Catholic. There are indeed "Lords" but only one Lord of Lords and King of Kings. May He who is the one and only God reveal Himself to all before it is too late.

I took with me today two messages from God: firstly, He lives inside me, and secondly, He is in Korea. He has prepared a place for me there, and He has a task for me to fulfill there. I am not going merely for vanities or money, but there is maybe just one person who is lost and is looking for the way.  Even for one person God will send someone across the globe, as He had just one person sent across the continent for me.  And I thank Him still.  All glory to God through whomever He sends.

Speech technique No.2 - the Unifying Metaphor

The Unifying Metaphor: As opposed to a simile which compares two objects using a specific linguistic form, eg. the man was as brave as a lion, a metaphor compares two objects by equating the one with the other, eg. he was a brave lion.   Literally the man was not a lion, but figuratively he was.   This figure of speech is used in literary works of all kinds, including poems and news articles. The Unifying Metaphor aims to unify people.   An example of an American metaphor is the Camel man.   He is healthy, strong and tanned, and he can survive in the wild bushveld with merely a pocketknife and a piece of string.   He drives a 4x4, and he works hard all day.   This is the image of the Camel man – please correct me if I’m wrong.   The logic and truth behind this image may elude us, but what unifies us is what Elgin (1980: p. 227) calls the consensus perception . Bevor ich geboren bin, bin ich gestorben. Warum bleiben dann Gefühle meines eigenen Gewissens? Warum bleiben die Gedanken und die Träume meines eigenen Lebens, wenn mich doch Gott neu geschaffen hat, mir neues Blut gegeben hat, mich in eine neue Familie hat gebracht? Ich will nicht mehr traurig sein, dass mein Leben mir wie nichts vorkommt, dass ich mir so unglaublich wertlos vorkomme, und stattdessen will ich den Glauben fassen, dass Gott mich tatsächlich in Seinen Händen trägt, und mich wirklich beschützt vom Bösen.
